Transmission of Seeding Agent for Aircraft Precipitation Enhancement Based on the HYSPLIT Model

The precipitation enhancement operation data of aircraft from 2014 to 2019 and the global assimilation system (NCEP GDAS) were used in this study. transport process transmission artificial seeding agents for was successfully simulated by HYSPLIT model. purpose study explore applicability model determining influence area provide a technical method evaluating effect enhancement. results show that (1) can be track hourly. Suppose route satisfies condition its interval are effective within 3 h after end agent. In case, area’s boundary points as dynamic change markers area. (2) simulate 24 agent processes. path altitude layer mostly southwest or west; angle ranged 225° 268°; horizontal distance three hours 100–200 km; vertical direction upward; range 0–1200 m; decreased at third 71% operations. (3) Based on variations affected areas determined model, contrast selected similarity measurement method, 15 (63%) operations contributed increase precipitation.
